About

The Halton Future network is a gateway to the Halton Chamber of Commerce for business people aged 18-35.

It is a long term strategy to encourage the future leaders, business owners and entrepreneurs to join the Chamber and to get involved within the business community.  At the moment, there aren’t a lot of people in the 18 – 35 age bracket that are members of the Chamber. We intend to try and change this by showing our attendees the benefits of being a Halton Chamber member.

After doing a Sandwich year at IBM during my degree I knew big business was not for me and that I wanted to follow my goal of running my own business. Within a year of leaving uni with help from the Halton Chamber of Commerce in the form of training and mentoring I set up Morton Green as an IT Consultancy based at The Heath.

Business grew slowly in the first 2 years as it took time to learn the skills required to run a business and to grow my contact sphere and become a trusted supplier. Over 7 years later and a change of name to 127 Solutions we now support over 60 clients from Scotland to Surrey, but still with a very keen focus on the North West.

I hope Halton Future can help other young people develop their skills, knowledge and contact bases to further their careers or businesses. I know from first hand experience what it is like starting a business at a young age and I also know how invaluable the Halton Chamber has been to my business success. I hope that through Halton Future, others can realise the many benefits of getting involved with the Chamber.
